ASEAN-CHINA Entrepreneurs Conference was held in Kuching, Sarawak of Malaysia from May 12 to 14, 2016. It was attended by around 500 representatives across sectors of government, business associations, enterprises and institutes from countries like China, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia. Among them, above 50 were Chinese corporate representatives from cities and provinces such as Beijing, Tianjing, Chongqing, Jiangsu, Hubei, Guangdong, Inner Mongolia, Hunan, Henan and Guizhou. They exchanged their views in various fields including energy, architecture, technology and food. Representatives from international business center of Beijing Forever Technology Co.,Ltd. was also invited.

 

Chief minister of Sarawak Shen Guixian, Consul-General for China at Kuching Fu Jijun, ASEAN-China Center secretary-general Yang Xiuping and Chairman of organization committee Zhou Yinghui delivered opening speeches respectively. China and ASEAN countries are friendly neighbors with long-term bilateral ties. There is immense potential for cooperation between two sides in various fields. ASEAN Community has already come into being in 2015 and China’s Belt and Road initiative is currently advanced, which paints a rosy blueprint for promoting Malaysia - China and ASEAN-China relationships. 2016 is 25-year anniversary for ASEAN-China dialogical relationship, which creates new opportunities for cooperation. This conference provides a platform of sharing information, discussing projects, seeking opportunities and expanding businesses for enterprises from ASEAN and China.
