From November 1st to 2nd, the third Rwanda Energy Infrastructure Forum was held in capital city Kigali, co-hosted by Rwanda Energy Group (EUCL/EDCL) and Spintelligent (South Africa), officially supported by Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy Development Board, covering key-note speeches by ministry representatives, roundtable talks and exhibition of relevant companies, providing a good platform for the exchange and cooperation in electric power sector. Beijing Forever Technology attended the forum as a renowned enterprise in the field.

Rwanda government set an ambitious goal of increasing the current electricity access from the current 26% to 70% by 2018, striving to reach the goal through support from different parties and the concerted effort between government and companies. In the beginning of 2016, Rwanda government signed climate change Paris agreement aiming to establish 100 solar micro- grids, indicating the proactive response of the government to the alleviation of climate change. During the meeting, the minister of ministry of infrastructure announced to launch national energy sustainable development action（SE4ALL）, planning to achieve nationwide power supply and electrification step by step. These policies will provide opportunities to the cooperation in energy and infrastructure field, creating favorable conditions for 2020 vision plan.

Recently, the company has received the provisional notification letter of GIS project of Rwanda Energy Group funded by the World Bank. The project aims to build national electric power GIS geometric network, instill energy to the informationization of Rwanda power system and enhance the management and operation level of its energy group. During the forum, based on the status quo of electric power industry of Rwanda and the requirement of energy management institutions, Forever Technology has promoted relevant electric power informatization management system, participated roundtable talks including Smart Meter Implementation Scheme, Rwanda Energy Law Framework and Off-grid Power Generation Case, actively involved into communication and exchanges with other parties, got to know relevant policies, industry development level and market cooperative opportunities, laying a solid foundation for strengthening international cooperation and marching into energy and infrastructure sector in Rwanda.
